Special Technology Center
Special Technology Center (STC) is a Russian unmanned-aircraft maker based in Saint Petersburg. It is best known for the Orlan family of fixed-wing reconnaissance drones, including the smaller Orlan-10 and the larger Orlan-30, which adds an optional laser designator for guiding other precision weapons and was introduced in 2020.
Russia's Ministry of Defence has been the Orlan family's main customer, and the type has been used for reconnaissance and artillery-fire correction in Russia's war against Ukraine since 2022. In July 2023 Russia's defense minister said Orlan-10 and Orlan-30 deliveries had risen sharply since early 2022, and by February 2024 the manufacturer said it was producing more than 1,000 Orlan-10s a year.
STC's listed products on this site are the Orlan-10, a light reconnaissance UAV, and the Orlan-30, a larger, laser-designator-equipped variant used for target designation and artillery-fire correction.
